Air Injection Hose/Tube: Service and Repair

AIR PIPE

REMOVAL




1. Remove shut off valve connector hose from air check valve.
2. Remove bolt from check valve bracket.
3. Remove bolts from exhaust manifold.
4. Remove air pipe and discard gasket.

INSTALLATION




1. Install new air pipe gasket and install air pipe onto exhaust manifold.

Torque:
Air Pipe-to-Exhaust Manifold Bolts: 18 N.m (13 ft-lbs)

2. Install air pipe bracket bolt and torque.

Torque:
Air Pipe Bracket Bolt: 25 N.m (18 ft-lbs)

3. Install air check valve to air pipe.
4. Install shut off valve connector hose to air check valve.
