Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair

AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL




1. Disconnect intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector.




2. Loosen clamp at air cleaner assembly.
3. Remove outlet resonator duct from air cleaner.
4. Loosen clamp at throttle body assembly.
5. Disconnect PVC fresh air vent hose at cam cover.
6. Remove air outlet resonator/bolt.




7. Remove air cleaner attachment bolt.
8. Remove air cleaner assembly.

INSTALLATION




1. Install air cleaner assembly into position.
2. Tighten air cleaner attachment bolt.

Torque:
Air Cleaner-to-Support Bracket Bolt - 4-Cyl: 10 N.m (89 in-lbs)




3. Position outlet resonator/duct assembly into position.
4. Connect PVC fresh air vent hose assembly.
5. Tighten clamp at throttle body assembly.
6. Position outlet resonator/duct assembly up with support bracket and install push-pin.
7. Tighten clamp at air cleaner assembly.




8. Connect intake air temperature (IAT) sensor connector.
