Oil Filter: Description and Operation

The 4 cylinder oil filter housing is integral to engine block. A by-pass valve is located in the oil filter cap and will automatically open when the filter becomes extremely restricted. Make certain the new oil filter snaps into the cap before being installed into the block.

NOTICE: Engine oil filters are specific to each engine application. Verify correct part number for the engine that is being serviced.

NOTICE: When performing an oil change, If the oil filter cap being serviced has a ll0 mm yellow dot located on top of 32 mm. hex (PIN 24460712), use only oil filter (PIN 24460713).
