Adding Oil

NOTE: When adding PAG compressor oil to Saturn R134A A/C systems it is necessary to use the appropriate PAG compressor oil released for that system. Using the incorrect PAG compressor oil could damage the refrigerant system. Reference Saturn Part Catalog for correct PAG compressor oil recommendation.

Adding oil to the A/C system should take place after recovery and before evacuation. If your shop is not equipped with oil injection equipment open the refrigerant system at suction/discharge assembly to compressor joint. Always install new washers whenever a joint is opened. Do not lubricate seal washers. Pour the correct quantity and type of new PAG compressor oil into the discharge (hose to condenser) side of hose assembly.
