Front lower Control Arm bushing Replacement (Rear)

Removal Procedure


1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
2. Remove the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
3. Remove the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement.





4. Remove the rear bushing nut.
5. Remove the rear bushing.

Installation Procedure

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.





Notice: To avoid control arm damage, you must identify the control arm and use the correct torque specification.

1. Install the rear bushing to the lower control arm.

Tighten
^ If casting number is prior to 4A133A, tighten the nut to 122 N.m (90 lb ft).
^ If casting number is 4A133A or later, tighten the nut to 150 N.m (110 lb ft).

2. Install the lower control arm. Refer to Lower Control Arm Replacement.
3. Install the front tire and wheel assembly. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
4. Lower the vehicle.
