Brake Transaxle Shift Interlock (BTSI) System

BRAKE TRANSAXLE SHIFT INTERLOCK (BTSI) SYSTEM

REMOVAL
1. Disable SIR system.
2. Remove console.
3. Disconnect brake transaxle shift interlock (BTSI) solenoid harness connector.





4. Using a screw driver, disconnect plastic retainers at solenoid base and at the park lock lever.





5. Remove solenoid from shifter assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. Install solenoid onto shifter assembly. Connect plastic retainers at solenoid base and at park lock lever.
2. Connect BTSI solenoid harness connector.
3. Verify operation.
4. Install console.
5. Enable the SIR System.
