4. Fluid Pump Installation

FLUID PUMP INSTALLATION





IMPORTANT: The fourth bolt used to secure fluid pump assembly into the transaxle case assembly is also used to secure the fluid filter retainer. Do not install the fourth bolt until fluid filter retainer is installed.

1. Install fluid pump assembly and 3 bolts into transaxle case assembly.
Torque: Fluid Pump Assembly Bolt: 11 N.m (8 ft. lbs.)
2. Pour approximately 120 - 240 cc (4 - 8 oz) of Saturn transaxle fluid (P/N 2688912) into pump inlet and rotate pump shaft by hand, in order to aid pump priming at start-up.
