Control Valve Body Replacement
CONTROL VALVE BODY ASSEMBLYREMOVAL
1. Remove valve body cover assembly.
2. Slide the gray locking clip to unlock connector for the input and output speed sensor assembly.
3. Press connector tab and remove connector for the input and output speed sensor assembly from the control valve body assembly.
4. Remove bolt and manual shaft detent assembly from the control valve body assembly.
5. Disconnect manual valve link assembly from manual valve.
6. Remove three silver bolts from control valve body assembly.
NOTICE: Use care when removing control valve body assembly. The control solenoid valve assembly and control valve body assembly may separate.
7. Remove 15 black bolts from control valve body assembly.
8. Remove control valve body assembly from transaxle case assembly.
9. Remove spacer plate assembly and discard.
INSTALLATION
1. Install new spacer plate assembly on transaxle case assembly.
2. Install control valve body assembly on transaxle case assembly.
3. Secure control valve body assembly to transaxle case assembly with three silver bolts.
4. Tighten three silver bolts in sequence shown.
Torque: Control Valve Body Assembly to Transaxle Case Assembly Bolts: 8 N.m (71 inch lbs.)
5. Secure control valve body assembly to transaxle case assembly with 15 black bolts.
IMPORTANT: Note the orientation of manual valve before connecting manual valve link assembly.
6. Tighten black bolts in three separate steps in sequence shown.
6.1. Tighten to 5 N.m (44 inch lbs.)
6.2. Tighten to 10 N.m (89 inch lbs.)
6.3. Tighten to 14 N.m (14 ft. lbs.)
7. Connect manual valve link assembly to manual valve.
8. Install valve body cover assembly.
