Rear Wiper Module

REAR WIPER MODULE

REMOVAL




1. Remove rear wiper arm finish cap to expose to wiper arm fastener.
2. Remove rear wiper arm fastener.
3. Lift rear wiper arm assembly away from rear window and remove wiper arm from pivot shaft.




4. Remove liftgate trim panel.




5. Remove rear wiper module fasteners and slide pivot shaft out of rear window grommet.
6. Disconnect electrical connector.

INSTALLATION

1. Connect electrical connector.
2. Install rear wiper module through rear window grommet and install fasteners.

Torque:
Rear Wiper Module: 7 N.m (62 in-lbs)

3. Install liftgate trim panel.




4. Position rear wiper blade assembly on the first rear window defogger grid line above the blackout strip as shown in illustration.
5. Install rear wiper arm nut and tighten.

Torque:
Rear Wiper Arm Retaining Nut: 27 N.m (20 ft-lbs)

6. Install rear wiper arm finish cap.

REAR WIPER MODULE BUSHINGS




Wiper module bushings are available in a kit with all bushings necessary to mount the rear wiper module. Make sure the metal bushing inserts are installed with the flat side underneath the module bolts (top side of module).
