Garnish Molding Replacement - Lock Pillar

REMOVAL




1. Unsnap rear seat shoulder belt cover to expose shoulder belt fastener.
2. Remove shoulder belt fastener and shoulder belt.




3. Lower rear seat back.
4. Partially remove lock pillar garnish molding by gently pulling at clip locations.




5. Partially remove side trim panel at lock pillar garnish molding location.
6. Partially remove front upper section of side trim panel, then squeeze lock pillar molding to gain access from headliner. Remove molding.

INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Apply permatex(R) 24200 on all restraint fasteners prior to installation.

1. Position lock pillar molding to side trim.
2. Align locator pin of molding to structure.
3. Install lock pillar garnish molding by pushing gently at clip locations.




4. Install side trim panel.




5. Install rear seat shoulder belt to C-pillar.

Torque:
Rear Seat Shoulder Belt: 50 N.m (37 ft-lbs)

6. Snap shoulder belt cover over fastener.
7. Raise rear seat back.
8. Function rear seat shoulder belt to ensure proper operation.
