Seat Back Heater Element Replacement - Front (Non-Fold Flat)



Driver or Passenger Seat Back Cushion Heater Replacement (Non-Fold Flat)

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
2. Remove the outer trim panel from the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
3. Remove the armrest from the seat. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the seat heat module.






5. Disconnect the lower J-hook retainer from the seat back trim cover.
6. Carefully lift the trim cover, disengaging the hook and loop retainers until the heater element is exposed.






7. Gently pull on the heater element in order to remove the element from the seat foam. Be careful not to damage the foam pad.

Installation Procedure






1. Peel off the self-stick tape from the back side of the heater element.
2. Position the heater element over the seat foam pad. Press firmly to engage the adhesive.
3. Lower the seat back trim cover, pressing on the hook and loop retainers in order to engage the retainers.






4. Connect the lower J-hook retainer to the seat back trim.
5. Connect the electrical connector to the heater element module.
6. Install the armrest to the seat. Refer to Front Seat Armrest Replacement.
7. Install the outer trim panel to the seat cushion. Refer to Front Seat Cushion Outer Trim Panel Replacement.
8. Install the front seat. Refer to Front Seat Replacement - Bucket.
