Surge Tank

SURGE TANK

REMOVAL





1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Drain coolant.
3. Remove cylinder head degas hose to surge tank clamp and remove hose.





4. Remove tank to upper motor rail bolts and lift tank.
5. Remove return hose clamp and return hose.
6. Disconnect coolant level switch from engine harness and remove surge tank.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect coolant level switch to engine harness.
2. Install return hose and clamp (7 o'clock position).
3. Install surge tank by inserting surge tank retention tab into upper motor rail while lowering tank into place. Install tank to upper motor rail bolts.





4. Install cylinder head degas hose and clamp.
5. Connect negative battery cable.
Torque:
Battery Terminal Bolt: 17 N.m (13 ft. lbs.)
6. Fill cooling system.
