Underbody Heat Shield (Front)

UNDERBODY HEAT SHIELD (FRONT)

REMOVAL

CAUTION: MAKE SURE VEHICLE IS PROPERLY SUPPORTED AND SQUARELY POSITIONED ON THE HOIST. TO HELP AVOID PERSONAL INJURY WHEN A VEHICLE IS ON A HOIST, PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT FOR THE VEHICLE ON THE OPPOSITE END FROM WHICH COMPONENTS ARE BEING REMOVED.

1. Hoist vehicle.





2. Remove manifold exhaust pipe (below the heat shield).





IMPORTANT: The front and rear heat shields overlap and utilize common rivet attachment points.

3. Remove nut and rivets.
4. Remove heat shield.

INSTALLATION
1. Position shield to vehicle, aligning front hole stud. Place rear of shield under rear shield and against underbody.
2. Install nut and tighten.
Torque:
Heat Shield-to-Underbody Nut: 10 Nm (89 inch lbs.)
3. Install rivets.





4. Install manifold exhaust pipe.
