Center Mounted Brake Lamp Bulb: Service and Repair

CENTER HIGH-MOUNT STOP LAMP (CHMSL) BULB

REMOVAL




1. Remove center high mount stop lamp to liftgate fasteners.
2. Carefully pull CHMSL assembly out of liftgate.
3. Disconnect rear washer hose from rear washer nozzle.
4. Disconnect electrical connector from CHMSL assembly.
5. Remove CHMSL.




6. Depress tabs on CHMSL lens to separate CHMSL bulb assembly from lens.
7. Pull CHMSL bulb out of CHMSL bulb assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect electrical bulb into CHMSL bulb assembly and push to seat.
2. Align tabs on CHMSL lens with CHMSL bulb assembly and push to seat.
3. Connect electrical connector to CHMSL assembly.
4. Connect rear washer hose to rear washer nozzle.
5. Align CHMSL assembly with rear liftgate.
6. Install CHMSL to liftgate fasteners.

Torque:
CHMSL to Liftgate Fasteners: 1 N.m (9 in-lbs)
