19. 1 - 2 Reverse Clutch Piston Travel Measurement

1 - 2 REVERSE CLUTCH PISTON TRAVEL MEASUREMENT





1. Inspect sliding surface of plates for being worn or burnt. If plates are worn or burnt, replace them.
2. Assemble 8" Dial Indicator Extension Rod J45166 and Dial Indicator Set J45200 to case cover and set dial indicator J45200.

CAUTION: WHEN COMPRESSED AIR IS USED IN ORDER TO CLEAR FLUID PASSAGES AND TO DRY PARTS, ALWAYS AIM AIR PRESSURE AWAY FROM FACE AND EYES. ALWAYS WEAR ADEQUATE EYE PROTECTION IN ORDER TO AVOID INJURY FROM DIRT AND DEBRIS THAT MAY ADHERE TO PARTS.

3. Apply compressed air into the oil passage in order to measure piston stroke, and to be sure that the piston moves smoothly.
4. If the piston stroke is not within specifications, select another backing plate.
