25. 2ND Coast Clutch Disassemble

2ND COAST CLUTCH DISASSEMBLE

^ TOOLS REQUIRED
- J 23327 Clutch Spring Compressor
- J 41236 Coast Clutch Spring Compressor
- J 45164 Spring Compressor Bridge





1. Using Spring Compressor Bridge J45164, J21420-2 and J23327-2, which is a part of J23327 and J28585 remove the second coast clutch retaining ring (230).





2. Remove second coast clutch backing plate (229).
3. Remove fiber plates (228).
4. Remove steel plates (227).





IMPORTANT: Be careful not to damage bearings when installing removal tools.

5. Place J21420-2 and J23327-2 which are part of Clutch Spring Compressor J23327 and Coast Clutch Spring Compressor J41236 on spring retainer (225) and compress springs (224).
6. Remove second coast clutch spring retaining ring (225).
7. Remove second coast clutch spring assembly (224).





CAUTION: WEAR SAFETY GLASSES WHEN USING COMPRESSED AIR IN ORDER TO PREVENT EYE INJURY.

IMPORTANT: Be careful not to damage O-ring or piston.

8. While pulling upward on piston by hand, apply compressed air into the oil passage and remove the 2Dd coast clutch piston (222).
9. Remove inner seal (221) and outer seal (223) from piston (222).
