7. Front Internal Gear and Low Clutch Sprag Assemble

FRONT INTERNAL GEAR AND LOW CLUTCH SPRAG ASSEMBLE

IMPORTANT: Make sure flat surface of thrust washer is facing toward flange.

1. Install front internal gear thrust washer.

2. Apply transaxle fluid to inner surface of outer race.
3. Install low clutch sprag end race (524).

IMPORTANT: Make sure low clutch sprag assembly is facing correct direction before installation.

4. Install low clutch sprag assembly (523).
5. Install low clutch sprag end race (522).
6. Install low clutch sprag retaining ring (521) in groove of front internal gear.

7. Apply transaxle fluid to outer surface of low clutch sprag assembly.
8. Install low clutch sprag inner race.

9. Hold front internal gear and inspect low clutch sprag assembly. The inner race should turn freely counterclockwise (1), and should lock clockwise (2).
