2. Low and Reverse Clutch Piston Installation

LOW AND REVERSE CLUTCH PISTON INSTALLATION





1. Apply transaxle fluid to new O-rings.
2. Install new inner (510) and outer (512) O-rings onto piston (511).
3. Apply automatic transaxle fluid to inner surface of transaxle case.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage O-rings when installing.

4. Using hands, press the low and reverse clutch piston (511) into transaxle case until seated.





5. Install the low and reverse clutch spring assembly (513) onto the low and reverse clutch piston indexing springs to piston bosses.

NOTICE: Be careful not to damage inner surface of transaxle case. Position retaining ring opening correctly as shown.

6. While compressing low and reverse clutch spring by hand, install retaining ring into groove.
