8. Forward and Direct Clutch Assembly Installation

FORWARD AND DIRECT CLUTCH ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION





1. Install forward clutch and direct clutch assembly.





NOTICE: If the measurement is not within specifications, adjust to within specifications or damage may occur.

2. Measure the distance of A.
Installation Height
Dimension A should be 50.850 - 51.825 mm (2.002 - 2.040 inch).
3. If measurement is greater than specifications, index clutch assembly until correct specification is met.





NOTICE: Do not bend or damage transaxle lube fluid pipe (85).

4. Using a plastic hammer, install lube fluid pipe (85).





5. Install lube fluid pipe retainer and bolt.
Torque: Pipe Retainer: 6 N.m (53 inch lbs.)





6. Apply grease to the new case fluid passage seals.
7. Install new case fluid passage seals (86) into transaxle case.
