REMOVAL





1. Remove torque converter assembly.
2. Inspect torque converter assembly for the following:
^ External damage
^ Metal particles found after flushing the oil cooler and cooler lines
^ External leaks in hub weld area
^ Torque converter pilot is damaged or fits poorly into crankshaft
^ Internal failure of stator roller clutch
^ Contamination from engine coolant
^ Excessive end play
