Control Valve Body Cover Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the transaxle oil cooler lines from the transaxle.
2. Remove the 9 control valve body cover TORX(R) bolts (1).

Important: Do not damage the transmission side cover, case or sealing surfaces.

3. Remove the control valve body cover (2).

Installation Procedure





1. Clean any gasket material from the control valve body cover and inspect the gasket mounting surface.





2. Install the control valve body cover (2).

Important: Use LOCTITE(R) 242 thread sealer on ALL bolt threads.

3. Install the 9 control valve body cover bolts/screws.





Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

4. Tighten the 9 control valve body bolts/screws in sequence.
^ Tighten the control valve body cover bolts/screws to 13 Nm (10 ft. lbs.).
5. Install the transaxle oil cooler lines to the transaxle.
