Brake Caliper Bracket Replacement - FrontRemoval Procedure
1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Remove the tire and the wheel.
3. Remove the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front.
4. Remove front brake caliper bracket bolts (1).
5. Remove the front brake caliper bracket from the steering knuckle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the caliper bracket to the steering knuckle.
2. Coat the caliper bracket bolts (1) with 272 Threadlocker, GM P/N 12345493 or equivalent.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the new caliper bracket bolts (1).
Tighten the caliper bracket bolts (1) to 95 Nm (70 lb ft).
4. Install the brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement - Front.
5. Install the tire and wheel assembly.
6. Lower the vehicle.
