122. TCC Lock Up Pressure Control Solenoid Installation
Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) Lock Up Pressure Control Solenoid Installation1. Install a 8 mm x 53 mm TCC apply pressure control solenoid fluid feed passage tube (111) with the filter side of the feed tube (1) facing the transmission case hole (2), as shown in the insert.
2. Measure from the top of the 8 mm x 53 mm fluid passage tube (11) to the machined surface (31) of the transmission case housing (31). This is the installed height (a) of the fluid passage tube (111).
3. If the measurement between the top of the tube and the case machined surface is approximately 7mm (0.3 inch), the tube is correctly installed in the accumulator fluid passage port.
4. If the measurement is greater than 7mm (0.3 inch), reinstall the fluid passage tube until it is correctly seated in the accumulator body.
5. Install a 8 mm x 36 mm TCC lock-up pressure control solenoid fluid apply passage pipe (10) with the filter side of the pipe facing the transmission case housing (31) as shown in the insert.
6. Install a 8 mm x 25.2 mm TCC lock-up pressure control solenoid fluid apply passage pipe (13) into the transmission case housing (31).
7. Install 2 8mm x 14mm TCC lock-up pressure control solenoid locating pins (33) to the transmission case housing (31).
8. Install a NEW TCC apply pressure control solenoid gasket (12) to the transmission case housing (31).
9. Install both 7.7 mm x 2.3 mm clutch pressure control fluid passage pipe O-ring seals (9) over the fluid feed passage tubes.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
Important: Do not damage any of the TCC lock-up pressure control fluid passage pipe O-ring seals (9) during installation of the TCC apply pressure control solenoid assembly (7).
10. Install the TCC apply pressure control solenoid assembly (7) using 4 M6 x 1.0 x 30 mm flanged bolt/screws (6) and tighten.
- Tighten the bolt/screws to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
