84. Shift Sol & TCC Solenoid Valves Installation

Shift Solenoid Valves, Torque Converter Clutch Solenoid Valve Installation






Notice: Do not hold the solenoid valve connector in order to remove or install a solenoid valve. Hold the solenoid valve body. Damage to the solenoid valve may result if the solenoid valve is removed by the connector.

Important: A new solenoid valve is equipped with a new O-ring seal. If you install a new solenoid valve, is it unnecessary to replace the O-ring seal on it.

1. Install a NEW O-ring on each solenoid valve.
2. Install shift solenoid valve 1 (466) and secure with the mounting bolt.

Notice: Do not install the shift solenoid valve before installing the torque converter clutch solenoid valve. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the hydraulic control system.

3. Install the torque converter clutch solenoid valve (468) and secure with the mounting bolt.
4. Install shift solenoid valve 3 (470) and secure with the mounting bolt.
5. Install shift solenoid valve 2 (465) and secure with the mounting bolt.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.

6. Tighten the 4 mounting bolts which secure the 4 solenoid valves to the accumulator valve body(495).
- Tighten the M6 x 1.0 x 16 mm flanged bolt/screws to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
