Fuel Tank Heat Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Caution: Refer to Vehicle Lifting Caution in Service Precautions.

Raise the vehicle on a hoist.
2. Remove the fuel tank heat shield to the rear suspension support fasteners.
3. Remove the heat shield from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Install the heat shield and tighten the fasteners.
^ Tighten the heat shield-to-rear cross member to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
2. Lower the vehicle from the hoist.
