SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR (SEDAN)

REMOVAL PROCEDURE

1. Remove the rear seat cushion from the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear seat bolster.




3. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt upper fastener cover to expose the rear seat shoulder belt upper fastener.
4. Remove the shoulder belt upper fastener.
5. Remove the rear garnish trim.




6. Slide the shoulder belt out of the C-pillar trim panel slot.




7. Remove the shoulder belt floor fastener.




8. Partially remove the rear compartment side trim to expose the shoulder belt retractor fastener.
9. Remove the retractor fastener and remove the retractor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Position the shoulder belt retractor to the vehicle and install the retractor bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

2. Install the rear seat shoulder belt to the floor with the shoulder belt bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

3. Install the rear compartment side trim.




4. Route the rear seat shoulder belt through the C-pillar trim panel slot.
5. Install the rear garnish trim.
6. Position the rear seat shoulder belt to the C-pillar and install the bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

7. Install the shoulder belt upper fastener cover.
8. Install the rear seat bolster.
9. Install the rear seat cushion into the vehicle.




10. If you installed a new shoulder belt, remove the shipping clip from the webbing.
11. Operate the rear seat shoulder belt to ensure proper operation.
