SEAT BELT RETRACTOR REPLACEMENT - REAR (WAGON)

1. Remove the rear seat cushion from the vehicle.
2. Remove the rear seat bolster.




3. Remove the comfort guide from the shoulder belt.
4. Remove the rear seat shoulder belt to the floor fastener.




5. Remove the upper fastener cover from the rear seat shoulder belt to expose the fastener.
6. Remove the fastener from the rear seat shoulder belt.




7. Remove the cargo cover by sliding the cover retractor unit towards the right side of the vehicle and lifting up on the retractor unit.




8. Remove the cargo area side trim by pulling at the clip locations




9. Partially remove the cargo area carpet to expose the access hole to the shoulder belt retractor fastener.
10. Remove the retractor fastener and remove the retractor.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
1. Install the rear seat shoulder belt to the C-pillar with the bolt.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).




2. Install the rear seat shoulder belt to the C-pillar with the bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

3. Snap the upper fastener cover to the shoulder belt.




4. Install the rear seat shoulder belt to the floor with the bolts.

Tighten the bolts to 35 Nm (26 lb ft).

5. Install the cargo area carpet.




6. Install the cargo area side trim by pushing at the clip locations.




7. Position the weatherstrip over the cargo side trim.
8. Install the rear seat bolster.




9. Install cargo cover.
10. Raise the rear seat back.
11. Install the rear seat cushion into the vehicle.




12. If you installed a new shoulder belt, remove the shipping clip from the webbing.
13. Install the comfort guide to the shoulder belt.
14. Operate the shoulder belt to ensure the proper operation.
