Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler Pipes Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Place a drain pan or suitable container under the vehicle.
2. Remove the upper transaxle cooler line from the radiator.





3. Raise the vehicle.
4. Remove the lower transaxle cooler line from the radiator.





5. Remove the transaxle oil cooler line assembly nut from the transaxle.
6. Remove the transaxle oil cooler line assembly from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the transaxle oil cooler line assembly to the transaxle.

2. Notice: Install the transaxle oil cooler line assembly nut.

^ Tighten the nut to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).





3. Install the lower transaxle cooler line to the radiator.
^ Tighten the fitting to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
4. Lower the vehicle.





5. Install the upper transaxle cooler line to the radiator.
^ Tighten the fitting to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).
6. Start the engine and inspect for leaks.
7. Inspect for proper fluid level.
