Output Axle Shaft Sleeve and Seal Replacement

^ Tools Required
- J 41228 Stub Shaft Sleeve Installer
- SA9211T 5th Gear Remover

Removal Procedure





1. Remove the transaxle case side cover.
2. Remove the snap ring from the output axle shaft and discard.





3. Remove the output axle shaft sleeve from the output shaft using SA9211T.

Installation Procedure





1. Use J 41228 to install new sleeve on output axle shaft. Ensure that collect is located in snap ring groove when installing.





2. Install a new snap ring on output axle shaft.
3. Install the transaxle case side cover.
4. Start engine, warm up transaxle, and check for leaks.
5. Inspect the fluid level.
