WIPER MOTOR REPLACEMENT

REMOVAL PROCEDURE




1. Remove the wiper arms.
2. Remove the rear hood seal.
3. Remove the air inlet grill.
4. Disconnect the electrical connector from the wiper motor.
5. Remove the bolts from the wiper motor.
6. Remove the wiper motor from the plenum area.




7. If replacing the wiper module bushings, remove the steel bushing first, then the rubber grommet.
8. Remove the wiper motor from the transmission.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE




1. Install the wiper motor to the transmission.
2. If the wiper module bushings were replaced, install the rubber grommet first, then the steel bushing.
3. Install the wiper motor to the plenum area.
4. Install the wiper motor bolts.

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

Tighten the bolts to 5 N.m (44 lb in).

5. Connect electrical connector to wiper motor.
6. Install the rear hood seal.
7. Install air inlet grill.
8. Install wiper arm.
9. Inspect the wiper/washer system for proper operation.
