Floor Shift Control Replacement

Removal Procedure
1. If the shift control is being replaced, remove the shift control knob. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement. If the shift lever is not being replaced, it is not necessary to remove the shift control knob.
2. Remove the console shift lever bezel.
3. Remove the instrument panel storage compartment.





4. Remove the range select lever cable from the shift control.





5. Remove the park lock cable from the shift control.





6. Disconnect the electrical connector.





7. Remove the automatic transmission control nuts.
8. Remove the automatic transmission control.

Installation Procedure





1. Install the automatic transmission control.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.

2. Install the automatic transmission control nuts.
^ Tighten the nuts to 25 Nm (18 ft. lbs.).





3. Connect the electrical connector.





4. Install the park lock cable to the shift control.





5. Install the range select lever cable to the automatic transmission control.
6. Install the instrument panel storage compartment.
7. Install the console shift lever bezel.
8. If the shift control knob was previously removed.
