Air Cleaner Housing: Service and Repair



Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct.
2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor.




3. Remove the air cleaner housing rear bolt.
4. Reposition the air conditioning (A/C) condenser and evaporator tube clamp as required.




5. Remove the air cleaner assembly from the upper tie bar.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the air cleaner assembly to the upper tie bar.




2. Position the A/C condenser and evaporator tube clamp as required.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the air cleaner housing rear bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (89 lb in).




4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAF/IAT sensor.
5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct.
