Rear Compartment Lid Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Open the rear compartment.
2. Pull back the left side carpet.
3. Remove the rear lid spoiler, if necessary.
4. Remove the lid applique.
5. Remove the rear lock cylinder, if necessary.
6. Remove the overslam bumpers, if necessary.
7. Remove the latch.




8. Remove the rear compartment lid to hinge attachment bolts.
9. With an assistant, remove the rear compartment lid.

Installation Procedure




1. With an assistant, install the rear compartment lid (3).
2. With an assistant, align the rear compartment lid to the hinges (2).

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

3. Install the bolts (3) that secure the rear compartment lid to the hinges.

Tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

4. Adjust the compartment lid as necessary. Refer to Rear Compartment Lid Adjustment.
5. Connect the rear compartment wiring harness to the body harness.
6. Install the spoiler, if necessary.
7. Install the lid applique, if necessary.
8. Install the lock cylinder.
9. Install the overslam bumpers, if necessary.
10. Install the latch.
11. Reposition the carpet.
12. Close the rear compartment.
