Door Lock Cylinder Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the outer door panel.
2. Partially remove the door insulator at the rear of the door.




3. Remove the lock cylinder retainer.




4. Rotate the lock cylinder forward, with the lock rod attached, into the door access hole.




5. Remove the lock cylinder with the V-clip by rotating the lock cylinder off of the lock rod.

Installation Procedure






Important: If a new lock cylinder is being installed, the V-clip retainer can be reused if the retainer is not broken.

1. Install the door lock cylinder with the retainer by rotating the cylinder onto the lock rod.




2. Rotate the lock cylinder into the lock cylinder opening.




3. Install the lock cylinder retainer.
4. Install the door insulator.
5. Install the outer door panel.
