Instrument Panel Tie Bar Replacement


Removal Procedure

Caution:Refer to Approved Equipment for Collision Repair Caution .





1.Disable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .

2.Remove all related panels and components.

3.Repair as much of the damage as possible to factory specifications. Refer to Dimensions - Body .

4.Remove the damaged I/P tie bar.

Installation Procedure





1.Position the I/P tie bar to the vehicle.

Notice:Refer to Fastener Notice .

2.Install the bolts that hold the I/P tie bar to the hinge pillar inner.

TightenTighten the bolts to 25 N �m (18 lb ft).

3.Enable the SIR system. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling .
