89. Throttle Body Installation
Throttle Body Installation
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
Important: The powertrain control module (PCM) must perform the idle learn procedure to determine the minimum throttle position and to establish idle speed when any of the following components are replaced:
* Throttle body
* Timing belt
* Timing belt drive sprocket
* Crankshaft and bearings
Refer to Idle Learn. Programming and Relearning
Install the studs (516), if required.
Tighten the studs to 7.8 N.m (69 lb in).
1. Install the gasket (517) and throttle body (518).
2. Install the nuts (519) and bolts (555).
Tighten the nuts and bolts to 22 N.m (16 lb ft).
3. Install a NEW O-ring (713).
4. Install the MAP sensor (712) and bolt (711).
Tighten the bolt to 3.4 N.m (30 lb in).
5. Install the throttle body coolant hoses.
