Vehicle Speed Sensor Replacement

Removal Procedure




1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Disconnect the vehicle speed sensor (VSS) electrical connector (2).




3. Remove the VSS retaining bolt.
4. Remove the VSS.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the VSS.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice.

2. Install the VSS retaining bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 12 N.m (106 lb in).




3. Connect the VSS electrical connector (2).
4. Lower the vehicle.
