Information on 2007 4T45E Hybrid Automatic Transaxle (RPO ME7)

The purpose of this bulletin is to inform retailers of new characteristics of the 4T45E hybrid automatic transaxle (RPO ME7) and describe some of the differences between the hybrid model (RPO ME7) and the regular model (RPO MN5) 4T45E automatic transaxle.

If there are any concerns with the hybrid auxiliary pump or associated driver, please call GM Technical Assistance prior to replacing any components.
Hybrid Case Assembly - Bolts & Pipes Orifices
The illustration shows the location of the orifices for several of the pipes and fasteners.
Pressure Switch Assembly
The pressure switch assembly is NOT interchangeable with other models of the 4T45E automatic transaxle. The illustration shows some of the differences.
Spacer Plate Assembly
4-3 Downshift Solenoid Assembly - Hybrid Only
The ME7 automatic transaxle has a unique 4-3 downshift solenoid assembly not found on other versions of the 4T45E.
New Wire Harness Assembly for Hybrid Only
New Forward Clutch - 21 Element Roller Clutch
The new 21-roller one-way clutch is not released for service. To service either one-way clutch (17- or 21-roller) or the cam, the complete forward clutch support assembly must be replaced. The complete forward clutch support assemblies are fully interchangeable. The 17-and 21-roller clutches and cams are NOT interchangeable.
