Compressor Pressure Relief Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure





1. Drain the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging) .
2. Remove the high pressure relief valve.

1. Remove the compressor relief valve (1).
2. Remove the seal ring (2).




Installation Procedure

1. Install the high pressure relief valve.

Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice (Fastener Notice) .

2. Replace the seal ring. Before installation, coat seal ring with mineral oil.

Tighten the high pressure relief valve to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

3. Evacuate and charge the air conditioning system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging (Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging) .
