Heater Core Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the HVAC module assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).




2. Remove the center floor air outlet duct screws.
3. Remove the center floor air outlet duct.




4. Drill out the heater core cover heat stakes.
5. Remove the heater core cover screws.
6. Remove the heater core cover.




7. Remove the heater core.

Installation Procedure




1. Install the heater core.




2. Install the heater core cover.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (Fastener Caution).

3. Install the heater core cover screws and tighten to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).




4. Install the center floor air outlet duct.
5. Install the upper floor air outlet duct screws and tighten to to 1.5 Nm (13 lb in).
6. Install the HVAC module assembly. Refer to HVAC Module Assembly Replacement (Service and Repair).
