Introduction

Scion customers may experience a condition where the audio head unit (AM/FM tuner) changes channels by itself. Exchange units from the supplier have been modified to correct the concern.

TSB REVISION NOTICE:
^ June 2, 2006: The TSB Title has been changed ("Changes Channels by itself" added). Provious versions of this TSB should be discarded.

Applicable Vehicles
^ 2006 model year Scion tC, xA, and xB vehicles.





Parts Information

Repair Procedure

No additional diagnosis is necessary for the described condition. Remove and replace the customer's existing audio head unit with an exchange unit from the supplier. Refer to the Technical Information System (TIS), 2006 model year Scion tC, xA, or xB: Accessories: Installation Instructions: (appropriate section for P/N 08600-21800).





Warranty Information

Applicable Warranty:

This repair is covered under the Toyota Comprehensive Warranty. This warranty is in effect for 36 months or 36,000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the vehicle's in-service date.

* Warranty application is limited to correction of a problem based upon a customer's specific complaint.
