BRAKE: FRONT BRAKE FLEXIBLE HOSE: INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION
1. INSTALL FRONT FLEXIBLE HOSE
(a) Install the flexible hose with the union bolt and a new gasket.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
HINT: Install the flexible hose lock securely into the lock hole in the disc brake cylinder.
(b) Install the flexible hose and speed sensor bracket onto the absorber bracket with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 29 Nm (296 kgf-cm, 21 ft-lbf)
HINT: Install the flexible hose first and then the speed sensor bracket.
(c) Install the front brake flexible hose with a new clip.
- When installing the front flexible hose, face the identification mark toward the exterior of the vehicle and minimize twisting of the hose.
- Install the clip as far as it will go.
(d) Using a union nut wrench, install the brake tube onto the flexible hose while holding the flexible hose with a wrench.
without union nut wrench - Torque: 15 Nm (155 kgf-cm, 11 ft-lbf)
with union nut wrench - Torque: 14 Nm (143 kgf-cm, 10 ft-lbf)
NOTICE:
- This torque value can be obtained by using a torque wrench with a fulcrum length of 300 mm (11.8 in.) and a union nut wrench with a fulcrum length of 22 mm (0.886 in.) .
- This torque value is effective when the union nut wrench is parallel to a torque wrench.
2. FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID Replacement
3. BLEED MASTER CYLINDER Replacement
4. BLEED BRAKE LINE Replacement
5. BLEED BRAKE ACTUATOR Replacement
6. CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR Replacement
7. INSPECT FOR BRAKE FLUID LEAK
8. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL
Torque: 103 Nm (1050 kgf-cm, 76 ft-lbf)
