2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR: REMOVAL

REMOVAL

1. DRAIN ENGINE COOLANT Service and Repair

2. REMOVE AIR CLEANER ASSEMBLY





(a) Disconnect the mass air flow meter connector.
(b) Separate the wire harness.






(c) Separate the No. 1 vacuum switching valve.






(d) Disconnect the ventilation hose.
(e) Separate the No. 2 fuel vapor feed hose.






(f) Loosen the No. 1 air cleaner hose clamp, unlock the air cleaner assembly clamp and remove the air cleaner cap sub-assembly with No. 1 air cleaner hose.
(g) Remove the air cleaner filter element sub-assembly.






(h) Separate the wire harness.
(i) Remove the 3 bolts and remove the air cleaner case sub-assembly.






3. REMOVE ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR
(a) Disconnect the engine coolant temperature sensor connector.
(b) Using SST, remove the engine coolant temperature sensor and gasket.
