DOOR LOCK: BACK DOOR LOCK: INSPECTION

1. INSPECT BACK DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Check the operation.





(1) Move the back door lock to the lock position.

(2) Connect the positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 2 (ACT+) and the negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (ACT-), then check that the lock unlocks.

OK:

Unlocks

If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock assembly.

(b) Check operation of the back door courtesy switch.





(1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Standard resistance:





If the result is not as specified, replace the back door lock.
