Removal





2AZ-FE ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR: REMOVAL

1. REMOVE GENERATOR ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (except TMC Made Engine)

(a) Disconnect the connector of the crankshaft position sensor.





(b) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector from the connector clamp bracket.

(c) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor wire from the wire harness clamp bracket.

(d) Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.

NOTICE:
If the crankshaft position sensor has been dropped or subjected to a strong shock, replace it with a new one.

3. REMOVE CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR (for TMC Made Engine)

(a) Disconnect the connector of the crankshaft position sensor.





(b) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor wire from the rib portion of the chain cover.

(c) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the crankshaft position sensor connector from the connector clamp bracket.

(d) Disconnect the crankshaft position sensor wire from the wire harness clamp bracket.

(e) Disengage the clamp and disconnect the crankshaft position sensor wire from the water pump.

(f) Remove the bolt and crankshaft position sensor.

NOTICE:
If the crankshaft position sensor has been dropped or subjected to a strong shock, replace it with a new one.
