Exhaust - Broken Front Pipe Bracket

APPLICABILITY: ALL MODELS 1980 THRU 1982
SUBJECT: EXHAUST PIPE BRACKET
Should you encounter a vehicle with a broken front exhaust pipe bracket, repairs should be made with a bracket repair kit now available under P/N 744026100. This bracket kit consists of the following:
CLAMPS - 2
MOUNTING PLATE - 1
BOLTS - 4
FLAT WASHERS - 4
LOCK NUTS - 4
This kit is installed on the front exhaust pipe (as shown below).
NOTE: THE PROPER TORQUE FOR THE MOUNTING BOLTS IS: 14 FT.LBS. IF THE SPECIFIED TORQUE IS NOT OBSERVED, DAMAGE COULD RESULT TO THE FRONT PIPE.
Installation of this bracket on vehicles still within the 12 month warranty period can be claimed under the following operation number and time.
