Assemble

Fig.1 Carter-Weber carbureter exploded view.:

1. Install idle mixture screw and spring on flange, then position flange on the body casting with gasket, Fig. 1.
2. Install accelerator pump assembly and attaching screw.
3. Using jet driver 498167100, install main jet.
4. Install metering rod lifter link, rod and spring.
5. Install accelerator pump discharge check ball and weight.
6. Install bracket connector and hose.
7. Install needle seat with fuel filter and washer on air horn assembly.
8. Install fuel inlet needle with spring and needle pin.
9. Install float assembly. Check float adjustment as described under "Float Level, Adjust."
10. Position air horn to body casting with gasket, then install and tighten attaching screws.
11. Install connector rod with bushings.
12. Assemble bowl vent armature, spring retainer and valve.
13. Place spring and bowl vent armature assembly into bowl vent solenoid, then install bowl vent solenoid assembly with gasket and attaching screws.
14. Install feedback solenoid, spacer and two gaskets, then connect vacuum hoses to fittings on spacer.
15. Install idle stop solenoid and fuel line bracket.
16. Position fuel line assembly and gaskets on air horn, then install fuel line bolt. Do not tighten fuel line bolt until fuel line clamps have been installed.
17. Install fuel line inner and outer clamps.
18. Tighten fuel line bolt to 25 to 30 ft. lbs., then install lock.
19. Install choke vacuum hoses.
20. Check to ensure all linkages operate smoothly.
