Checking Fluid Level

Remove differential filler plug and check to ensure gear oil level is at bottom of filler plug hole.

Drain & Refill

Differential gear oil should be changed at intervals of 30 months or 30,000 miles.
1. Remove differential drain plug and allow gear oil to drain.
2. Install differential drain plug with gasket. On all except Justy, torque plug to 18 ft. lbs. On Justy, torque plug to 22-28 ft. lbs.
3. Remove differential filler plug and add SAE 8OW, 85W, or 90 gear oil to oil level is at bottom of differential filler plug hole, then install filler plug.
4. Do not mix brands or weights of oil.
