Clutch: Service and Repair

1. Remove transmission as described under TRANSMISSION.
2. Remove six attaching bolts from pressure plate, then remove pressure plate and clutch disc.
3. When installing, apply light coat of grease to transmission main driveshaft spline.
4. Install clutch disc guide into clutch disc. Then install on flywheel by inserting end of guide into needle bearing.
5. Install pressure plate and to torque attaching bolts to 12 ft. lbs. Clutch pressure plate should be installed so there is a gap of 120° or more between ``O'' marks on flywheel and pressure plate, to insure best balance.
6. Remove clutch disc guide and reinstall transmission.
