SUBJECT: 1985 SERVICE MANUAL PROCEDURE CHANGE

In Section 3-2, Page 30, of the 1985 Service Manual, the Transfer Solenoid Section concerning removal is incorrect. Steps 6 through 12 state that the transmission must be drained and that the transmission crossmember and the exhaust pipe must be removed. These steps are not necessary.

When removing the 4wd transfer solenoid, it is necessary only to perform Steps 1 through 5, then Step 13.
